Senior Brand Designer

Product: Microzines are a rich-media experience offered by Zumobi.
A Microzine is an interactive article from various  sources, including world-class authors, bold thought leaders, and leading magazine brands. The app enables one to hand select unique long-form content of their choice and save it all in one convenient place. Zumobi's Microzine platform pulls in content from across a variety of websites and apps, including Twitter and Instagram feeds, YouTube videos and blogs, creating an engaging rich-media experience that consumers can browse and shop, and brands can update in real-time.

Each Microzine is enhanced with immersive photo galleries, HD videos, and infographics, sometimes including exclusive content only available in the Microzine edition of an article.

Design Responsibilities
Lead Designer, owning the creation of the Identity and Branding for the Microzines platform. Work closely with the Design Director.
  • Conceptualize the product branding and identity.

  • Iterations resulted in the creation of a  custom typeface for the Microzine brand.

Product: Chris McMullen is an international artist who creates mechanical, interactive sculpture. 
Working closely with the artist, I created the 'Original Equipment' Brand & Identity and its expression in all aspects of his business.

  • Created a custom typeface that is utilized in all areas where his identity is represented.

Product: Zumobi created platform to assist companies in amplifying content marketing on mobile devices.
I created apps for iOS and Android devices with curated ​content from multiple sources often partnering with well-known brands.

Design Responsibilities
Working closely with the Design Director, I was responsible for the following:
  • Conceptualization of the product branding and identity.
  • Iterating on logo and logotype studies.
  • Iterating on color palette studies.
  • Finalizing overall branding and identity elements.
  • Creating detailed Brand Guidelines for internal and external use.
